What I’m Reading–The Enneagram Made Easy

book2

I’ve read about the Myers-Briggs personality types, and I’ve taken the quiz multiple times, but have never been able to figure out which type I am.  I am so indecisive that I absolutely cannot answer the questions.  It’s paralyzing looking at all of those questions, and I can’t help but thinking, “Most of the time I would do xyz, but what about…”.

The enneagram book absolutely solved that problem for me! I immediately saw which one of the nine personalities I identified with, and then was able to figure out which Myers-Briggs type as well.  I think.  Still a little iffy about the last letter, but hey, three out of four’s a place to start, right?

I think this is extremely beneficial for all the relationships in your life–it can help you deal with your spouse, children, co-workers, family members (and we’re all going to be around some of them more with the holidays coming up).  It can also be very insightful in helping you deal with your own strengths and weaknesses.

Check out what else I’ve been reading:

Shadow and Bone

To Marry an English Lord

The Creation of Anne Boleyn

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend

linking up with Modern Mrs Darcy’s December Twitterature edition–head over there for more great book reviews!

Love how you told us about Myers Briggs vs. Enneagram! I too have never been able to figure out my myers briggs type for the same reason as you – I’ve taken it twice, and once was an extrovert and once an introvert! :) (I think Susan Cain is onto something in her book Quiet, where she talks about a type of both personalities – an ambivert! :) Anyway, this post made me want to check out that book – thanks! Found your blog through the Twitterature linkup.

This Enneagram book has a nice little chart in the back that lists the MB types next to which Enneagram type you are–that helped me SO Much! I’ve got to check out Quiet again–I got it from the library once, but had too big of a reading pile, and had to turn it back in unread! :(
